I’d like for folks to say of me,<\/p>\n

No matter where I roam,<\/p>\n

“That child is nice and gentle\u2014but<\/p>\n

She’s sweeter far at home.<\/p>\n

“Her temper never does she lose,<\/p>\n

She’s patient as can be<\/p>\n

She always tries to spread content,<\/p>\n

Among the family.<\/p>\n

“She always tidies up her room;<\/p>\n

And like a gentle maid,<\/p>\n

She strives in countless little ways<\/p>\n

To be on some real aid.<\/p>\n

“She welcomes, with a friendly smile,<\/p>\n

The neighbors as they come;<\/p>\n

She’s quite a nice girl anywhere\u2014<\/p>\n

But sweeter far at home”.<\/p>\n
